Austrian Women’s Run sold out after 31 days

April 10, 2011 By sportadmin Leave a Comment

Sold out – registration for the Austrian Women’s Run has closed on March, 31st

Only 31 days after the launch of the registration for the Austrian Women’s Run, organisers Ilse Dippmann & Andreas Schnabl have to state:

“Rien ne va plus – we have to close registration today, March 31st!” The 25,000-participant capacity was met in a record of one month –

that ranks the Austrian Women’s Run among the famous running events like the Boston Marathon or the Chicago Marathon – both had to close

their registration in a record-breaking time as well.

25,000 (!) women have registered for the race this year. The Austrian Women’s Run will be held in May 22nd in the Viennese Prater, offering a 5k and 10k run.

Due to organizational reasons, the maximum number of participants had to be limited in autumn 2010. Ilse Dippmann, organiser:

“2010, we had to close registration after 45 days. Then, in May, 21.121 women took part at our race –, compared to 2010, we now offered

4,000 race tickets additionally. It’s unbelievable, really sensational. Thank you to all women who registered – I am looking forward to

welcome you all at the starting line of the 24th Austrian Women’s run in May!”

New record of participants at the biggest women’s in continental Europe

25.000 participants also mean a new record of participants at the Women’s Run! Compared to the number of participants in the race in 2010,

that’s an increase of 18 percent this year! Especially the number of women from foreign (non-Austrian) states doubled in an impressive way!

The run also strengthened its position as biggest women’s run in continental Europe.

Time-to-Run – 3,10
