Cape Town – An ebullient Stephen Mokoka held court at an entertaining media presentation less than 48 hours before facing quality international opponents in Cape Town Onerun 12km.

Stephen thanked the sponsors, which he noted have increased in number as the Cape Town Onerun 12 km has grown to a huge 13 000.
Media sponsors Die Burger and KFM, Spur, Budget, The President Hotel and Puma are amongst the group who have joined FNB.
This has pleased the runners with, not only increased prize money, but an experience and attraction for emerging young stars to make the trip worthwhile.
The quartet of visitors includes 23 year old defending champ Kenyan Morris Gachaga who set a 12 km world best 33’27 last year.
22 year old Ugandan Abdullah Mande boasts a 28’20 best for 10 km, whilst John Langat at just 21 has a faster 27’58 but a remarkable half-marathon of just 24 seconds over the one hour mark.
Noah Kipkemboi has a flying 15 of 42’43 with a recent Chinese half-marathon ensuring peak fitness.
With such speed on display the Sunday morning coastal road into the city should be blazing.
The forecast is for some rain with a north wester which will push them along.
A finish in Bree Street next to the FNB Headquarters has been prepared as a festive spot for spectators, runners and their families.
