Newcastle and PUMA extend sponsorship

Newcastle United FC and PUMA have announced an extension to their existing sponsorship agreement.

The leading sportlifestyle brand has worked with the club since the 2010/11 season, the new agreement will see PUMA continue to work closely with the Club as Official Kit Supplier.

On Thursday, United’s new PUMA change kit went on general sale and it will be worn for the first time by the team against Everton on the final day of the current Barclays Premier League season on Sunday, 13th May.

Stuart Middlemiss, the club’s Head of Retail, said: “We’re delighted to have agreed an extension to our sponsorship deal with Puma. The brand has an excellent reputation for quality and design, and their products for Newcastle United have been extremely popular with fans over the last two seasons.

“It’s a relationship we’re looking forward to building on in the 2012/13 campaign and beyond.”

Roger Harrison, Puma UK Marketing Director, said: “We are very proud to announce the extension of our successful partnership with Newcastle United Football Club. Our football portfolio continues to grow from strength to strength and our relationship with the club remains a priority for the brand.

“Newcastle United fans are passionate about their club and their love of football reflects the PUMA brand’s own enjoyment and passion for the game. We are looking forward to continuing our successful partnership and to supporting Newcastle United in their future successes.”
