Tacks cause chaos in Tour De France

Tacks cause chaos in Tour De France

The Tour De France 2012, Stage 14, was hit by sabotage yesterday when some ‘idiot’ decided to have fun by throwing tacks across the road.

This occurred around the top of the main summit of the stage between Limoux to Foix.

Cadel Evans was one of the first to be effected and a policy was enforced which allowed the bulk of the field to cycle in together.

Around 30 cyclists had to make either tyre or bike changes with yellow jersey holder, Bradley Wiggins also needing to make a bike change.

The tour continues with the last of the main category climbs to come on Wednesday.
